Welcome Evening
We are hosting a welcome event on Friday evening, and all guests are invited. Details to come — likely in or near central Guildford.
The Wedding at Loseley Park
The wedding ceremony will start at 1:30 pm, followed by drinks & canapés, dinner, and an evening reception.
Loseley Park is a private sixteenth-century estate with two and a half acres of walled gardens. All of the events on 29 May will take place at Loseley Park.
We have arranged for a coach to transport guests from the Mandolay Hotel in central Guildford to Loseley Park. The coach will leave the Mandolay at 12:45 pm on Saturday afternoon. If you prefer to drive to Loseley Park separately, feel free to arrive from midday onwards.
Getting There

Three miles south of Guildford town centre. Guildford is located about an hour from London.

Searching Loseley Park, Guildford in any map app will bring you straight to the estate.
Fly in to London
We recommend flying in to Heathrow, Gatwick, or other airports in the London metro area. In addition to taxis/Uber, from Heathrow there is a RailAir coach (bus) that runs a direct line to Guildford station, and from Gatwick there is a Great Western Railway with direct hourly trains to Guildford station.
35 Minutes from Waterloo
Trains run direct to Guildford every fifteen minutes, then it's a short Uber to Loseley.
Where to Stay
We've reserved a block of rooms at the Mandolay Hotel in central Guildford for Friday & Saturday nights (28–30 May).
The Mandolay Hotel, Guildford
36–40 London Road, Guildford, Surrey GU1 2AE. In the town centre, with parking, 24-hour reception and a restaurant and bar on site.
To book a room in our block, call or email the hotel and mention the Fisher Wedding. Booking direct is the surest way to get our rate. The rooms are held until the end of January, so please book early.
If you would rather stay somewhere else, feel free — there is plenty of choice in and around Guildford.
Good to Know
- What Should We Wear?
- Formal daywear. Weather permitting, some of the events will be outside. For the American ladies who have been awaiting an opportunity to wear a fascinator, this is your chance!
- Can We Bring Our Children?
- Yes. We are lining up some on-site nannies to look after children at Loseley on the day of the wedding, as we prefer for some of the events of the day to be adults-only. Please include any children who will be joining in your RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
- Why Is the Wedding in Guildford?
- Guildford is Jon's hometown. If you have time, we encourage you to explore — there's an eleventh-century castle, a charming town centre, and lots of historic pubs.
- Haven't I Seen Loseley Somewhere Before?
- You might have! Loseley Park was a filming location for Guy Ritchie's Netflix series The Gentlemen — several of Halstead Manor's indoor scenes were shot here, along with the gamekeeper's cottage in the grounds.
- How Late Will the Party Last?
- The party never ends with Jon & Stephanie :) But alas, Loseley Park will ask us to leave the venue before midnight. We are arranging a shuttle to take guests from Loseley Park to the Mandolay Hotel at 11:45 pm.
- Will There Be a Band?
- We asked some of you for input on the most important wedding-planning question (band vs. DJ) and the overwhelming consensus was “both” — so we'll have both! There's a space on the RSVP for a song request for the DJ set. (Stephanie is working on getting some country music into the band's set.)
- Is There a Gift Registry?
- We do not have a gift registry. Celebrating our relationship with our friends & family will be a priceless gift.
